Transitions

Dear High school senior,
Hey, I'm going to give it to you straight my friend college is a completely different environment and a completely different way of learning. Like you may think that your high school class and what you learned in there will be the same as what you will be learning in college. This is false and I can tell you that from personal experience, this Communications class I'm taking is nothing like the public speaking class I took in high school I thought they were going to piggyback off each other but they don't at all two completely different types of classes. Oh, this a big one right here don't expect your college professors to be great teachers, don't get me wrong some are really great teachers like I wish they could teach all my classes but the principles of "academic freedom" encourage variation in college teaching. This means professors can teach however they want as long as they get the information to you. This could be just reading off a PowerPoint basically teaching yourself or you may get a teacher who will actually teach the class material. Another difference between High school and college is the amount of sleep you get. You better be used to staying up until 2 or 3 in the morning some nights to get homework done because sometimes your professors drop a test and 2 labs due the same week on you. So enjoy sleeping early while you can now. The last difference I would like to share is to enjoy your time at home. Many of you have never been off by yourself anywhere enjoy time with your family cause I promise you will miss going back home after school every day to your parents being there. I know you've been waiting to be independent and on your own but cherish the time you get with your family now. I'm not sure why people continue to provide fake myths o high school seniors, it's not fair to them because they have to change the way they doing everything in college and it's not fair for them to have to change their whole thought process of college in a matter of the first week. if you don't then you will fall behind in college and catching up is no fun. Take time and think about these differences and enjoy the experience.

Elevator

In the video the different people come in playing their music, white people, mixed, and then an African American man comes in and they all immediately turn off their music. I think the author's purpose was to maybe show us how people really were stereotyping an African American man. He came in with a speaker and but he put his headphones in, I felt that everyone in that elevator thought he was going to blast music. I think the audience is pointed at the people who still look at African Americans and continue to still stereotype them. Because the point the director is trying to make is that look they assumed this and he did the complete opposite. I think the first way is to drop the stereotypes you see how they became comfortable after he put his headphones in and showed manners, it should always be like that. Pandemic music

I am from Georgia, with that being said you know I have to add my country songs to the mix. nd it's The first song I would add to my playlist would be Life is a Highway by Rascal Flatts, this is my jam because as a kid and growing up I watched the movie cars at least 200 times and believe me when this song came on in the movie I sang my heart out every time. Even now I still sing my heart out to it because it reminds me of being a kid still. Another country song I would add would be Rumor by Lee Brice because I have had this song on my "country bangers" playlist for a while now but this year I made some good friends and we would go on drives and 9 times out of ten this song would play and we would all sing our hearts out. Conflicts

Neil Gaiman develops tension in the book by the narrator telling us that he always listens to his dad and respects his dad. Throughout the story, his dad is the alpha dog, he will do what his dad says. Then when the babysitter, Ursala arrived she really set a border between the adult world and the world of the children. Ursala set the border when she felt that she was older so she could boss around whoever she wanted because she was the adult in the house. Towards the end of the book, the problem is not really resolved but more or less not dealt with. Such as his parents forgetting everything after the stiched the bad memory out of them. The border of the adults and children still existed towards the end even after all that happened.
